All BT Branches with Members in MVAS
Dear Colleague
A Message of
Support to all CWU Members working on the 999 Service
The
CWU is aware that our members working in MVAS dealing with the 999 service over
the last few days have worked over and beyond their call of duty, volunteering
to work long hours and late into the night to ensure that the 999 service has
been maintained. Many of the operators
have had to deal with extremely traumatic incidences and distressed
callers as they wait for the emergency services to answer
The
CWU is extremely proud of our members working during these difficult times and the
professional service you have provided to the public, we support and applaud
all your hard work.
The
CWU is working closely with the Business in order to assist in any way possible
and have requested the availability of employee counselling for those operators
that are in need of any counselling.
We
are aware that the next few days will be testing and that is why additional
volunteers are being requested to assist from My Account and My Order which
will hopefully alleviate some of the pressure.
If
there any issues that the branches, or members, believe that need to be
addressed please do not hesitate to contact me at sabridge@cwu.org.
Yours
sincerely,

Assistant Secretary
