A recent near miss occurred in Tonyrefail ATE when a portable electric heater caused a four way extension gang to overheat which had the potential to cause a fire in the MDF room; an engineer was on site and isolated the heater before a fire occurred, the engineer escalated this to the location manager for the area Mike Skyrme ALAK19 07702 956034 who completed a site visit; The site has been fully tested and made safe for work.

The four way gang was already in use supplying 21CN modems, it wasn’t supplied to include the loadings of a temporary heating supply. I need all staff to ensure no mobile heaters are plugged into extension gangs which has any 21CN modems connected (Ugan Talk) they must be plugged into a master power socket, all heaters must be unplugged when the workspace; MDF, Welfare Room etc is vacated.
